Saalim – Smell Of Shitler

We’ve been enjoying Conor Meehan‘s DJ mixes online for a number of years now. A name that may well be new to you, Conor produces under the name Saalim, (recently remixing Crazy P and Danny Howells) playing regularly in his native Derry, as well as Liverpool – where he is currently based. He plays that brand of low-slung house and disco that’s perfect as a warm-up, and adeptly delivers a mix reflecting this.

1. Bonobo – The Keeper feat. Andreya Triana (Banks Remix)
2. John Talabot – So Will Be Now feat. Pional
3. Shindoe – Cosmic
4. Bocca Grande – Even If (Morning Factory Remix)
5. Lance Desardi – Atcha (Sleazy McQueen Remix)
6. Sek – Aretha’s House (Roy Gilles Remix 2)
7. Audio Soul Project – My Bluff feat. Alexander East
8. Dairmount & Berardi – Love Unltd 4AM
9. Phil Weeks – Luv U Need U
10. Tyrez – Functional Love
11. Chicago Skyway – Heavens
12. Whirlpool Productions – Disco To Disco

Conor also shared 5 records that never leave his bag.

A record that I have heard many times in a club and it never fails to blow the place apart, it stands on its own I think as a modern classic.
When I first bought this record it sounded alot slower than the rest of the stuff I was into at the time, it soon became my favourite record for a long time and still is to this day. Perfect warm up track I think.
So simple when you listen to it but well ahead of the game at the same time..
Heard this on Tenaglia’s BackToBasics mix and searched the vinyl down, proper druggy twisted up drums.
Like most of this list another record that has so much about it that I want to play it in every set, it’s perfect in every way for me, trance music done well.
