Brooke Foster

Chief Meteorologist

Brooke Foster joined the NBC Montana team in March of 2006. She started her career in Missoula, then moved to Augusta, Georgia (home of the Masters Golf Tournament). Working in Augusta for WAGT-TV as the weekend meteorologist, she became knowledgeable in forecasting tornadoes, hurricanes and floods. It wasn't long before Brooke began to miss the beauty of Montana, the gracious residents and, of course, the weather, and was happy to be able to come "back home."

Brooke was born in Woodbury, Tennessee, a small town outside of Nashville. Her interest in weather was sparked by the wide variety of weather events she experienced growing up in Middle Tennessee. Brooke has a genuine desire to deliver accurate forecasts and is dedicated to providing viewers with dependable weather coverage. She attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, and received a degree in geo-science with an emphasis in broadcast meteorology. Brooke also studied language and culture at the University of Laval in Quebec, Canada. An added learning experience was chasing tornadoes in the Great Plains.

She enjoys traveling, running, reading, and visiting her family in Tennessee. Brooke says she is anxious to discover the fun of winter sports in Montana. She also enjoys visiting schools and special interest groups to teach people weather basics and to share her love of meteorology.

Brooke is proud to be a member of the NBC Montana team which you rely on for your forecast.
